Great opportunities for young people through UK Year of Service

25 Club Community Organisations (CCOs) are seeking enthusiastic and innovative young people to join them as their new ‘Community Health Activator’.

Partnering with UK Year of Service, young people, aged 18-24, will get ‘world-ready and work-ready’ through the roles made available by our CCOs. This opportunity is a paid position for 9 -12 months and during this time young people will pick up valuable, transferable skills and experience within the health and wellbeing sector. Young people will be supported through their personal development with additional training and mentoring, and the placement will help build exit routes into further employment or education, post-placement.

Rebecca Ndreca has recently just joined Club Doncaster Foundation as their new Community Health Activator. She said

“Being a Community Health Activator will enable me to work in an environment I hold a passion for and at the same time learning valuable skills and knowledge to help me be the best I can be. I am looking forward to working alongside all the fantastic projects Club Doncaster Foundation deliver in the community”

Rebecca and many other young people across the country will become part of a network young people that want to make positive change in their community. During their placement they will have further opportunities to attend UK Year of Service events and build a network of peers from all around the UK.

If being a ‘Community Health & Wellbeing Activator’ interests you then please express your interest here and you will be contacted with more information.
