THE EFL TRUST SCOOP UP UK ECOMMERCE AWARD

The EFL Trust and digital agency Courageous, won the Sports, Leisure and Toys, eCommerce Website of the Year Award at the UK eCommerce Awards for its Official Soccer School website, after being shortlisted alongside Hobbycraft, PING and Prescription Swimming Goggles.

The awards took place at The Montcalm London, Marble Arch on Thursday 17th November to celebrate excellence across the eCommerce industry.

OSS is a platform used by Club Community Organisations to help them cost-effectively facilitate their course and activity bookings. Many courses that feature on the website, such as holiday courses, walking football and football development centres, are run on a free or reduced cost basis to ensure that the local community can enjoy the benefits of sport.

The panel of industry expert judges commented on the reason for rewarding the EFL Trust & Courageous:

“We were very impressed with the results this website has achieved, especially in such a short time period. The winners have shared fantastic analysis of the customer journey and it’s great to see how they understand the pain points along their journey and were able to go on to improve the overall customer experience, thus encouraging more people to join the courses. Excellent work!”

In the past 12 months, the site has received over 72,000 orders, a 22% increase on the previous period, in doing so, increasing the engagement and activity levels of people in communities across the country.

Mike Evans, Chief Executive Officer, at the EFL Trust said:

“The EFL Trust are delighted to receive this accolade in front of a field of industry experts and household brands.

We are proud to provide the Official Soccer Schools site to our network and ensure that via the successful partnership with Courageous, we are providing a cost-effective platform for our charity network to provide effective digital engagement with their communities.”
