{"id":21933,"date":"2022-11-30T10:21:57","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T10:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.efltrust.com\/?p=21933"},"modified":"2022-11-30T10:22:12","modified_gmt":"2022-11-30T10:22:12","slug":"efl-launches-together-supporting-communities-to-help-households-during-cost-of-living-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.efltrust.com\/efl-launches-together-supporting-communities-to-help-households-during-cost-of-living-crisis\/","title":{"rendered":"EFL LAUNCHES \u2018TOGETHER \u2013 SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES\u2019 TO HELP HOUSEHOLDS DURING COST-OF-LIVING CRISIS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The EFL has today launched \u2018Together \u2013 Supporting Communities\u2019 an initiative to support the communities and fans of the 72 League Clubs during the cost-of-living crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The scheme will see EFL Clubs provide community services and matchday offers to help people in challenging economic times and will contribute towards the Government\u2019s \u2018Help for Households\u2019 initiative.<\/p>\n<p>In rapid response, EFL Clubs and their respective Club Community Organisations (CCOs) have already rolled out a variety of support to those hit the hardest, with foodbanks, clothing donations and even \u2018heat hubs\u2019 providing lifelines to members of disadvantaged communities in England and Wales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EFL Club examples<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bradford City \u2013 launching \u2018City Hub\u2019 food bank in January 2023, to support families with weekly food packages<\/li>\n<li>Bristol City \u2013 offering discounted tickets for selected fixtures in January and February<\/li>\n<li>Cambridge United \u2013 \u2018Forever United Caf\u00e9\u2019 runs twice a week and is a warm and welcoming space for people to attend<\/li>\n<li>Ipswich Town \u2013 \u2018FIND a Warmer Community\u2019 the Club will be collecting donations of warm clothing for others to use in the community<\/li>\n<li>Leyton Orient \u2013 \u2018Kids for a Quid\u2019 and \u2018Football for a Fiver\u2019 in December at selected fixtures<\/li>\n<li>Middlesbrough &#8211; \u2018Warm Welcome Project\u2019 open to all ages, inviting individuals into the Stadium for a hot drink, warm room, free Wi-Fi and a chance to chat<\/li>\n<li>Millwall \u2013 weekly coffee mornings, Lions Food Hub, discounted after school and holidays clubs and the \u2018donate a coat\u2019 scheme<\/li>\n<li>MK Dons \u2013 Season Ticket holders can bring a friend for free at a selected fixture in January<\/li>\n<li>Rochdale &#8211; foodbank service and debt advice support on board its \u2018One Stop Bus\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Rotherham United \u2013 Every Miller Matters, the Club will offer warm spaces and support for families and individuals this winter. Running 3 days a week and open to anyone wanting to come to stay warm, charge their electronics and have a warm cup of coffee\/bowl of soup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>EFL partners eBay, Lifebuoy and Papa Johns will also be joining the initiative, by providing ticketing and food offers for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p>eBay will be using its partnership with the EFL to allow supporters and people in the local community, who may not usually be able to attend EFL fixtures, to do so through the provision of match day tickets, further showcasing a commitment and drive to bring communities, and EFL clubs within them together. Lifebuoy will also provide tickets to EFL matches, specifically targeting families in need.<\/p>\n<p>Papa Johns is offering all EFL ticket holders 50% off pizza through their Show Us Your Ticket campaign.
